  The Freshwater Land Trust conserves, connects, and cares for land and water in Central Alabama. We actively manage over 6,000 acres of land, making us one of the largest owners of private nature preserves in the state of Alabama.

Join the Freshwater Land Trust as we examine the evolving issue of conservation easements, including the current state and federal tax incentives that may be available to landowners. National expert Tim Lindstrom, the author of A Tax Guide to Conservation Easements, will provide a comprehensive review of the federal and state tax laws for conservation easements, as well as strategies for landowners and their advisors who may be considering conservation options. In addition, a panel of local professional advisors will discuss the best practices and lessons learned when working with conservation easements. Tickets: $250.
